When it comes to storing your Manuka honey, the ideal situation would be in a cool, dark and dry place, away from direct sunlight and unnecessary heat. If your Manuka honey heats up too much (think above 50°C and higher), or for a prolonged amount of time, you risk destroying the enzymes, bacteria and antioxidants that make it so powerful! Manuka honey can also be kept in the fridge if you prefer a more firm texture.
It is recommended that you don’t use any metal utensils when serving your Manuka honey. This is because honey has an acidic pH that reacts with metal surfaces, which could potentially damage the healing properties within your Manuka. Instead, opt for plastic, wooden or ceramics for serving.
